A life more extraordinary!
I’ve been overweight my entire life, and morbidly obese for the past 20+ years. When I was younger I had a taste for adventure and a desire to see and experience all life had to offer. I didn’t let my weight keep me from doing those things.
However, somewhere along the way I lost that spark. I found I couldn’t do all of the things I wanted because my weight and my lack of fitness became a real barrier. Before long, that physical barrier became a mental barrier.
Without even realizing it, I had become a spectator in my own life.
I’ve been thinking about and working toward the goal of a healthier life for a long time. Together with my partner Glenn, I’ve experienced a significant transformation in the past two years. Not just a transformation in my outward appearance, but also a transformation in my frame of mind.
In fact, it is this internal mental and emotional shift that has made the physical shift possible.
In this blog I plan to share my experiences with you. My ups and downs. My hopes and dreams. My lessons learned.
Maybe you’ll find something here to inspire you – as others have inspired me.
While I’ll inevitably talk about how I’ve lost a lot of weight (over 130 pounds and counting), this isn’t a weight loss blog. I won’t be sharing information on the latest sure thing fad diet or magical supplements. I can’t help you get bikini ready in just 30 days. If that is what you seek, you’ve come to the wrong place.
If, however, you want to tagalong on my journey to create a life more extraordinary, I welcome you with open arms. Maybe you’ll learn from and be inspired by my experiences, including my successes and my failures. And, I hope you’ll share your wisdom with me along the way.
